HARE WHO DARES…THE BEGINNING

If you have never failed, you’ve never lived.

“Rejected from the school basketball team, he went home, locked himself in his room and cried.”

He never failed once .Discovering how to make a light bulb just happened to be a 2000 step process. – Thomas Alva Edison.

“She was rejected from many projects because it was believed that her voice was too high-pitched and thin.” –  Lata Mangeshkar.

“He was fired from a newspapers office on the ground that he lacked imagination and had no original ideas” – Walt Disney.

“He applied to ‘All India Radio’ for the post of a news announcer. He was rejected. – Amitabh Bachchan.

He had missed more than 9000 shots in his career, lost almost 300 games, 26 times; he had been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. He had failed over and over and over again in his life. And that is why he succeeds.   –Michael Jordan.

“A teacher told a student he was too stupid to learn anything”- Albert Einstein

“When we see possibilities and dare to play, our life story emerges as ‘Hare Who Dares.'”

Words From Setu ‘s Maa – Kalindi Pinakin Mehta

From the day I started telling the story of the hare and tortoise to my son, questions kept popping in my mind, “what is ‘missing’ in this story?” If the story had not ended where it does, what could be the other possibility? Can it be really inspiring to readers if the hare remains a looser forever in children’s world of fairy tales? Sometimes the slow and steady policy does not work. Why do we always give some fixed moral at the end of the story? Why don’t we give children the freedom to think and work more on story? All stories are connected with our lives in one way or another and touch our souls.

This is my opinion:  Life = taking risks + attempts…and it does not mean that if you fail once, you can never stand up again.

At some point in life, we all come across embarrassing incidents and situations. For example, we might have failed in an exam, in a competition, a game or at a stage performance. Then we make a statement to ourselves that we cannot do this at all.

Time and again, we convince ourselves that those statements and judgments which we made in our past are the truths of our lives. Our life starts depending on those “so called truths”. Gradually we accept those barriers as a part of our personality in Life .

We never dare to work on our shortcomings, as we ourselves are unable to understand why we are so? Why we are behaving in the manner in which we are.

The moment we caught our pretenses and fear we can able to see some possibility in life, our view of life will alter and then miracles can happen! The views, opinions and thoughts of other people about us are only theirs. Take them with a pinch of salt. It is not the truth of our lives.

Lets start our journey with Our Hare…continue to next blog …
